Friday Jul 15, 2022
Friday Jul 15, 2022
I’m joined by Robyn James, Gender and Equity Advisor with the Nature Conservancy, to discuss environmental issues, broadly speaking, and gender issues more specifically. With over 25 years’ experience working in the Asia Pacific region at the community and national level to address conservation and equity issues, she is at the forefront in the convergence of localized environmental concerns with international environmental politics.
Topics of discussion center around the role of women as not just stewards, but knowledge-based experts, in the race to find balance and sustainability in our natural resource utilization. We conclude with a short discussion of the current Russian-Ukrainian war and its potential impacts on the environment and the humans that inhabit it.
The podcast features the following songs: “I am woman”, “Wrangled”, and “Milkman of Human Kindness”.
